I wrote two replies to someone who sent me a PM yesterday.  Then hit send.  the messages are now sitting in my out box and are not listed as sent.  What did I do wrong?

You're doing nothing wrong, Ed. Until your recipient opens the messages they will stay in your outbox. As soon as they are clicked on and read, they will show as 'sent'.

Some people are very slow in checking their PM's, even if they have sent one and you are replying to it. I have sent some that have sat for weeks and months in my outbox, even though they were replying to ones I had received. Others are opened the same day or next.

Carol.

Thank you. I wondered if this were the case, but wanted to be sure. I didn't want the person I was replying to thinking I ignored him.

There’s been one sitting in my outbox since June 24, 2019 unopened!!! I deleted another one that was there for a long time, as well.
