Fix for problem of Lightroom 1.0 not finding PSCS or CS2

According to Adobe Lightroom forum files there are several people like myself who are not able to transfer files from Lightroom 1.0 to PSCS or PSCS2 for editing. It seems that this is caused by an omission in the registry.Apparently there is a fix available at this site.
http://www.lightroomextra.com/ . Go to FAQ and it is under compatibility issues. I have never edited the registry, and don't feel comfortable doing it following the steps provided, even though I have downloaded 3 Microsoft articles. My hope is that someone who is computer savvy will go to this site and post a very clear step by step procedure to accomplish this fix. My thanks and I'm sure the thanks of many others to anybody who will devote the time to accomplish this. Clark.

1. Copy the text below into a file (name it cs2.reg). You can save the file anywhere. Use notepad or something similar. Make sure it's saved as a text file.
2. Open an explorer window (My Computer) and go to where you saved the file.
3. Double click on cs2.reg.
The necessary stuff should be added to your registry. You may need to reboot.

Jeff, Thanks so much for the prompt reply. I have one question. I am using PSCS not PSCS2, do I change anything for this? Clark.

Yea, use this:

"Path"="C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Adobe Photoshop CS\\"
@="C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Adobe Photoshop CS\\Photoshop.exe"
You can save it to cs.reg or any other filename as long as it end in .reg.

I might have to try this out as Lightroom doesn't detect Photoshop CS either.

Doesn't detect CS or CS2; what do you expect? It's not like they were made by the same company or something. Oh wait, oh yeah.....
Amazing how they miss such simple things isn't it?
