What is the best method for converting HEIC files into JPEGs? My IPhone  creates HEIC images that are not recognized by Photoshop. The method described for my PC didn't work and I am hesitant to download converters mentioned on line. Is there a fix? Are the on line converters previously mentioned the only option>

Turn off Live on your camera and the image will be saved as a .jpg
Can be converted in Photoshop or similar programs.

Thank you Paul. That will take care of photos going forward. But I do have a number of HEIC file images from earlier and would like to convert those to JPEG if I can. Any help there?

I have Windows 10. Will this work on this version of Windows?

Followed your suggestion, went to Windows HEIC converter and downloaded it, but can't get past the Upgrade Now and spend $$ part. I am beginning to think it is more trouble than it is worth.

Which program are you referring to?
What is your usual image viewer/editor?

Download this file from Microsoft store:
https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9pmms ... n-US&gl=US
Reboot computer then open one of your .HEIC images in paint or another image viewer and save as .jpg

Paul, I use Lightroom and Photoshop.

I downloaded your link and I am in business. It took me a while to figure it out but I now have it converting those HEIC files to JPEGs. Many thanks for your patience.
