I am not surprised. I still use Nikon Capture NX2 (it was never free) on my win 10 computers with no problems. I will need to make sure I download it from NikonUSA and keep a copy in a safe place. It does not work with NEF files after the D810 but will handle Tiffs and Jpegs.

I do use NX Studio from time to time. It is a merger of View NXi and NX D. I personally prefer its earlier versions as I liked to use View NXi to browse and cull images before doing any RAW processing in NXD.
