I am wondering what effect the upcoming apple MacBook pro and iMac LED screens with local dimming and such will have on photographic editing? It's already a challenge to print and submit images correctly, will the new screens make it more difficult? Or is the new technology only used for specific video or stills playback?

I would be surprised if you could not disable that function.
