I’m running Mojave 10.14.6 on MacBook Pro. I just updated Lightroom Classic (10.1.1) and now it freezes/crashes the laptop every time I try to edit.
I’ve uninstalled, rebooted, installed.
Nothing helps.
What should I do besides ditching it and using CaptureOne Nikon or NX Studio - both which run fine.
Problem is relearning everything.
Tired and frustrated with Adobe
Thanks for any help

Capture one is as easy as Lightroom so a small learning curve.
My Adobe has crashed and Adobe can't fix it it seems, the cloud app has corrupted and it wont load or work....
A 1 year old Mac with latest everything.... Adobe has terrible support and since I have Apple, they are just as bad so
I have no idea what I am going if I want to use PS again.

Watch the 4 or 5 basic webinars and you will be up and running with Capture One Pro in no time!

I'll second Capture One if you can't get LR to work. Add on Affinity Photo for a photoshop alternative, and you're all set. The inpainting brush in Affinity is great.

I am very pleased with DXO PL4 Elite edition as I like using Control Points for local adjustments. Capture One Pro for Nikon is another great suggestion too. And Nikon Studio gets the job done and its browser is very fast in rendering RAW images.

Rollback to version 10.1, maybe even v9.4. Adobe has had a major issue on MACOS post LrC v9.4. Not all MAC users, not allMAC computers. Some with same rigs have no problem, others nothing but problems.

Lots of postings at: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroo ... unresolved

I just downloaded Affinity Photo for $24.. does what photoshop does at first glance. Should be fairly easy to learn. Looks great.
I just spent 3 more hours with Adobe support and they cannot fix my problem.
Screw Adobe. Affinity and Capture will do all anyone needs.

Thanks everyone
I uninstalled (again), rebooted, then loaded a previous version.
Using a prior backup, Lightroom is now working.
However, I am learning how to use both Capture One Nikon and NIKON NX Studio.
My renewal for Adobe is in a few months and I won’t be renewing again.
What good is the subscription if I can’t update to the latest tools?
Disgusted but wiser

Thanks again

Actually, I think Capture One is much easier to learn and use than Lightroom, and I think it does a better job.
