Canon Eos 1300D - will Canon service this model in the US?

I have a quick question about Canon service. I know Nikon will not service a gray model camera, but how about Canon? My nephew's daughter is buying an old 1300D camera and I was just wondering if it can be serviced, if need be, in the US?

Most likely not! You would have to send it to Japan or a third party.
