Can someone shine a light on the above and what i can do?
I have a 2018 IMAC and when i use Lightroom , regularly the fan (well i assume it is the fan) of the IMAC kicks in. I looked at activity monitor and at times Lightroom tops the list with 320 pct. Is there something i can do about the fan kicking in? I find it really distraction and irritating when i am working o images.

Turn off graphic card acceleration. That's what causes it but realize you will kill the performance of the program.
