I used to manage all my photos with Adobe Lightroom. But did not update it since Adobe starting using software subscription.  Now I got lots of photos and videos mainly from my iPhones. (Still have a Sony A7 and lenses. But much less used.) I found my old Lightroom cannot  handle video files. It cannot even rename or delete them. Is there a recommended software that can manage both photos and videos and do some editing on photos (similar to Lightroom) and also very simple video editing?

I use both Windows 10 and MacBook Pro. So apps on either will work. But prefer Windows 10 since my photos archive is in my Windows desktop.

Thanks very much.

You might try the 90 day free trial of Final Cut Pro X for video:

Of course, it’s not for stills.

Any one switch to On1 from Lightroom? How do you like it?

For simple video edits on your phone, this is an option:

And there are other phone apps for editing, e.g.:

Hi Joe,

Thank very much for the links. Luma Fusion does sound very interesting for video editing on the phone. I also found Photos (in Mac) may be usable to manage my photos from iPhones. So I have a solution for now.

Thank very much.

For a long term solution that is also low cost I would recommend software from ACDSee. There software, Digital Asset Management, Photo Editing, Video Editing, has been recommend and used by many for years. I don't see them mentioned much in questions about this which does surprise me. Their software is right up there with many high end, high cost alternatives. They are worth a serious look.
