Trying to order a thunderbolt hub.  The only ones listed as being for my laptop a zbook 15 G6 are not powered.  Does it need to be powered?  Running mouse, monitor, printer, 1 or 2 portable usb 3 drives, keyboard, ethernet connection.

I don't know for sure, but from the number of devices that you expect to put on the hub my presumption is that you could use some power (past the USB from the laptop).
