I have been processing images in PS6 for a long time and rely heavily on the highlights/shadows adjustment, creating a separate layer and hitting the h/s. For some reason I am now getting zippo when I move the sliders. There must a simple explanation where I have inadvertently changed something. Can someone point it out for me?

I know that if, by mistake, I have the wrong layer selected, the sliders do nothing. Could that be it?

Is your “preview” box checked? If that’s not it, see my pm.

It was indeed the cursed preview box. I knew it had to be something simple but it just didn't click for me.
Thanks to all, and so quickly!
