I was on a recent photo shoot with an Olympus OMD E1 Mark II camera that uses SD cards.  I used a Lexar Professional 1000x 128 gb card in the camera and when I tried to download the images the card was not recognized in my card reader.  I tried another reader but received the same message.  I tried a friend's two other readers and got the same results.  Went and downloaded a recovery program to try and retrieve the images but that did not work.  I placed the card back in the camera and received a card error message.  I have trouble shot the camera and both card slots are working and I am assuming the card is bad.  Can anyone recommend a place to send the card to see if the images can be retrieved?  I know there is a charge for this type of retrieval, does anyone know the approximate cost?  EJ, can you perform this service?  I just want to retrieve the images from the photo shoot, if possible.  Thanks for the input.

Also, keep in mind, especially if you have never downloaded images from this card, that some newer cards require the latest readers. Have you tried plugging the camera into the computer to read the card? I know you said that you got a card error message. E. J. does do this service, or at least he did before.

I tried plugging directly into the computer and it does not recognize the card. Tried it on my PC and on an Apple machine. When I put it into a card reader the computer does not recognize that there is anything plugged into the port. I know there are images on the card because I could see them on the back of the camera, although that may be just the basic jpeg that I am viewing. Hope I did not press something on the "super menu" icon on the back of the camera that screwed me up. This is the first time I have used the camera extensively on a photo shoot, primary gear is Nikon, and I broke my own cardinal rule of not using a new camera system until thoroughly familiar with the buttons and dials. Hope it is a card failure and not operator error. I have images for the other 3 days of photography. Thanks to all so far.
