The fact that things change is OK. That's the way it is and faster speeds are always good. However, the naming system is terrible and seems to me that it just lends it self to a marketing nightmare for the consumer. Most people won't have a clue what they are buying.

It will be a while before we see this in actual components. I would hope by then they make the naming clear - USB-D works as a follow on to USB-C

Yep! And I was wondering if I was the only one thinking if USB-D made sense (D for Data too :D )

I've already read a couple of articles where they called it USB-D
