A couple updates ago PS CC began displaying my workspace panels on top of the Home & Learn screens, thus obscuring about half the screens.  (I use dual monitors, with the main PS window, with the workspace panels, on a portrait-oriented monitor, and images being worked on displayed on my large high-res monitor.)  It didn't use to do this.  I know I can uncover the screen by dragging the tool panels to the other monitor.  It's just annoying to have to do so.

Any ideas about how to make PS only display the workspace panels when there's an image open?

Here's a portion of the Home screen with the workspace.

In PS CC, click on Window and you will see all the workspace panels listed. Just "uncheck" the ones you don't want to see.

Its because you have it as a floating panel. You can hide it completely as suggested by Bruce, above. Another option is to click the tiny double arrowhead in the topmost section of the panel - this will switch it to an smaller icon that you can move about the screen should you so wish. Click on the double arrowhead to open it again. If you re-dock the panel in the main photoshop working area, (move it to the edge until you get a blue border) then it will close as before when you quit photoshop and will not show up on the home screen.

Thanks to both of you.  Both solutions work (of course!).
