When I open multiple images, they show in layers panel as one layer and when I click on each image, it appears on the top of the layer stack.  I must have clicked something as the layers have always shown up one above another in column format in the layers panel.  Does anyone know what setting I changed so I can get the layers back individually in column format?  Thanks.

Not sure what you're telling us. Can you place a screenshot of how the layers panel shows?
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
