A 95MB/s card that is full would take 3 hours to download. This is a very slow card by today's standards for high end cards. Even if they sold this in a 300MB/s card, about the fastest that you can currently buy, it would still take almost an hour to download to your computer.

$400.00 for a 1 TB card. I remember when I went to digital in 2005 with a 12MP Nikon D2x, I really stretched and bought 2 ea. 4 GB (that's right, count 'em, 4 GB) cards and they cost me $400 ea. at that time! What a difference a little time makes!!

True but if it was state of the art speed or about 300MB/s it would cost three times that!

But maybe good for your Surface Pro 6:

Or can it use an sd card?

No it uses Micro SD.  I have a 400GB one in there now and that's plenty of backup space for a typical two week photo trip even with Medium Format where you are focus stacking constantly.
