I started using this just a few months ago. I have noticed that really no long Canon glass is in the lens profiles. Any reason for this? I use the 500 f/4 version I all the time in my shooting, and it is such a common lens. I find it real strange no profile for any version of the 500 or 600 is in Capture One.

It's that these lenses really don't benefit much from lens profiles. Super teles tend to have no rectilinear distortion nor do they then to have any chromatic aberration. There aren't profiles for these lenses for Nikon either. About the only benefit one would gain is automatic vignetting reduction and that is so easy to do and takes literally a second so it's a fairly low priority.

Thanks, that makes sense. I have really noticed the difference in the color between C1 and Lightroom. C1 is much more accurate right out of the box.

Capture one is very good at conversions. I've switched to it for my DAM as well, although I find it a little bit quirky at times. Some procedures seem a little unrefined in terms of workflow, but overall, they're minor issues. I will have a look at Luminar 2018's DAM offering when it is available later this month as well.
