A little on the slowish side but a great price and still about 4 times faster than a traditional HD. Although if I were building a computer today I would not use a traditional SSD, I'd use an M.2 SSD which are WAY WAY WAY faster.

How much more do you pay for that speed? - about double if my quick check is correct.
But still not too bad a price $100 vs $200 for 500GB.

M.2 is definitely more expensive but the performance is in a different universe.

What about U.2 drives? Are these the ones we know as standard SSDs?

No, U.2 is a new multilane PCI interface that drives can be attached to. It's not mainstream but has some advantages, mainly a smaller footprint on the motherboard. U.2 drives are drives that plug directly into this interface - they do look a little like traditional SSDs. Traditional SSDs are SATA SSDs
