Maybe this has been discussed previously, but has anyone tried this software as a way to avoid subscribing to Photoshop?

I imagine it is not as good as ON1 but might be OK for viewing all RAW files in the field at least.

Anyone tried it?

I have it and have tried a few tutorials. I typically use Capture One and if necessary export to Photoshop CS6 which is not very often these days. When CS6 no longer works I’ll switch to Affinity.

From my limited usage of Affinty it did everything really well. The tutorial on Removing Unwanted objects is amazing.

I am looking at replacement software too as I am still using Nikon Capture NX2 and NX-D. I just checked the features list for Affinity and it supports dual monitors, a feature I want to use. ON 1 2018.1 does not support dual monitors where the image is on one monitor and the templates on another. ON 1 told me they are planning to add this feature at some point as it is often requested.
