The Adobe update manager may tell you that you have a LR update waiting and when you un it, it will by default delete LR 6 from your computer and install the subscription model CC version...

The article above tells you how to undo this latest Adobe "I don't give a crap about my customers, just the $$$ they can send me every month" move...

For more on this, go to 10:16 in this - I completely agree with, Sharky James, the guy speaking:

Is a class action suite in the works? I paid for stand alone and this is criminal in nature.

They would claim it's just a mistake and there is a way to go back to LR6 as per the linked article. It would never hold up in a plutocratic oligarchy legal system where the corporation is presumed correct.

Just about what is becoming the norm from Adobe.

I really must get to grips with Affinity Photo and ditch Photoshop altogether, it's only a matter of time.

If DXO makes Nik 100% compatible (currently not all Nik modules work with Affinity) then I'm there!

not exactly on topic but maybe also interesting for those who want to keep LR 6 when installing the cloud based version. By default the previous versions of LR are deleted without further notice. (I personally will not make that move as described in the other thread)

Can anybody comment on the automation capabilities in Capture One?
Over the time I collected a number of routines from framing to color cast removal and many more. Would I be able to program those in Capture One as well and apply them to images in batch mode?

C1 Pro has full batching capabilities.
You can create presets, recipes, etc and it can be applied in any way you want including with logic that creates smart collections, etc.   You can pretty much set it up to do anything you want in batches.

Perfect! Thanks for answering, E.J. Sounds like time to switch has come for me.

Just get the fully functional 30 day trial and see if it will do what you want.  Do spend time learning the program, it is incredibly powerful.  Tons of resources available to learn it well.
