This one is way overblown as it only impact 32 bit platforms which virtually nobody runs anymore.

While it's scary that something like this could happen, pretty much, unless you are still running Windows XP this doesn't impact you.

I have heard a few photographers still like XP, but I'm sure it's rare. The recent ransom ware sure affected the medical profession since XP is still used there in places. The sensitive info involved there is extensive. Here's a link to that situation:
