Can anyone recommend a good CFast card reader?  I'm hoping to find one I can install into a drive slot on my PC.  I've been using the Lexar model, but it has proven to be unstable.

Not surprising that a Lexar CFast reader wouldn't work that well since Lexar did not ever make CFast cards and embraced the competior format XQD instead.  The CFast format was invented by Sandisk so by definition their readers should be 100% compatible.  I am not aware, currently of internal CFast card reader options but there may be some - just not from the only CFast reader I would currently recommend - Sandisk.

Thanks, I've got the one that came with the Canon kit. I'll use that until something better comes along.

The Sandisk Extreme Pro reader isn't better?

I haven't really tried it. I was looking for something I could put internal. I'm sure it will work fine.

You got me curious although I don't use Cfast cards. See https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... cfast.html. I have no idea as to how reliable it is. Your favorite camera supplier probably has these.
