Revised- Slide show software suggestions

Sorry but the Nature Center is now requesting a self-executing (exe) slide show synchronized to music that I have permission to use. I last did this years ago with Naturescapes members steering me to PicturesToExe. The multiple song music was easy to sync to distinct topics. I have not used the product or any other in 10 years.

I see that PicturesToExe is still around as well as many other leading software products. Perhaps PowerPoint itself can sync music.

Suggestions welcome please. I assume the image  pixel size that E.J. suggested still relevant no matter what software since it was projector based.

I expect this to be 25 minutes long with whatever number of images needed for perhaps 5-10 second each viewing.

I don't have a software recommendation for you but yes, the pixel thing is still relevant.

I still use Pictures to EXE. I find it works well, has a lot of features and special effects which are fun. I do have to log in to review how to do some effects I have not done in a while. Like any software of this nature the time involved always ends up being more than I anticipated at the start.

Jeff do you use Lightroom?
If so, I know you can sync music to the slide show. I also believe you can export the slide show as a PDF. I think it would create a self-executing file by double clicking the PDF. I haven't used this feature myself but I don't think it's terribly complicated to set up. Just use JPEG files sized as E.J. recommends for the slide show and it should work on any computer/projector combination no other software needed.

Fotomagico (https://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/buy/) is a full featured slide show program with all the bells and whistles. Easy to use.

Fotomagico is Mac only, he is asking about a Windows app.

Check out the software produced by Photodex. I use ProShow Producer for my slideshows. I don't usually sync music/sound files to my shows, except for the intro sequence and for a final sequence, but it is quite easy to do. I'm pretty sure the current versions of ProShow include royalty-free music. At a basic level, the software is simple to use; just drag-in your image files and the software will automatically set the interval and transition between frames. It will also automatically sync music to the slide sequence.

Another mention for Photodex. I use an older version of ProShow Gold and it is quite outstanding in its capabilities. You can do virtually anything when it comes making very professional slideshows. Looks like the newest version is $69.95
