Is this backup worth looking into...1/2 price at $100

Looks pretty good especially since it is actively cooled. DO realize that RAID is not backup, it is equipment redundancy that allows you to keep working when you have a drive failure. You still need an independent backup as any file corruption will immediately get copied across both drives. RAID also uses a single controller to control all drives in the RAID so a failure there could render both drives inoperable and/or scrambled. For this reason, it is imperative that seperate backup be used.
