I am hoping some of the NSN guys can give me a good answer on this.

I recall reading about an incompatability issue between Lightroom and Time Machine in which Time Machine stripped away some of metadata in Lightroom (or something like that)
Does anyone know if this is still the case? Or does the same issue arise with the introduction of Snow Leopard?

In the meantime I use Chronosync to back up my LR & photo files.

Here is an article on that and make sure you read all the comments below. In short, unless you have the catalogue excluded in Time Machine (which it may or may not automaticaly select - it was unclear on that) Time Machine will back up the Lightroom catalogue. So just make sure that the lightroom isn't in the exclusion list on Time Machine...
