Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Travel and Culture Gallery, week ending 23rd November, 2012!Lindis Pass, New Zealand

Just returned from running back-to-back workshops in New Zealand. After hanging about this spot for a couple of hours with my participants, watching the light play across the mountains, a moment of drama arrived for the shot I had in mind. Canon 5DMkII, 50mm 1.4
I've started a blog series about this latest trip.

Striking, beautiful, and foreboding (what danger lies beyond the light?).

Wow, I love the lighting here.Almost looks as if there was a spotlight on the land. A very foreboding mood here.

Lovely contrasts -- love the light / dark interplay.
