Stunning image -- a gorgeous celebration of the recent equinox. I love the brilliant clean reds against the lighter background of paving stones, and pale bark of the birch-like trunk. The creative crop works well IMO, with the weight of the grate gracefully balancing to the mass of foliage. The single yellow leaf and bright moss add a nice counerpoint. I'm glad you're having a colorful fall across the pond -- it's a treat to see your work here. :D

Love the clean well defined edges of the leaves and the symmetry with the square crop.

Hi-welcome! Really nice work-well thought out with a different perspective. Colors are great-I can see why you like this tree!

Thanks people .. For your thought and critique
I was really drawn to the delicious reds on this tree. So I own up, its an iPhone image processed using hipstamatic.

I like the way that the iPhone flattens the image to give a very picture book feel to its images ..
Very different to my classic landscape photography

You guys are a lot more friendly than the landscape forum :)

I never would have guessed it was an Iphone image. The reds are lovely. Congratulations on IOTW.
