Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Flora and Macro Gallery, week ending 19th October, 2012!Shot taken at Meyer Optik Trioplan 100 F/2.8... This objective although it was produced between the years 60-70 is a lens that does well even now ... You get the backgrounds really super even if the colors are not reproduced many times the faithful, but it tends to give the dominant to me personally I do not mind .. This lens is very good wide open but also by stopping maintains good focus and also at the level of sharpness is more than good ... Until a short time ago there was at prices affordable, but now the prices have gone up a lot ... my version is in excellent condition and aesthetic level lenses .. no fungus, scratches or dust .. a lens is not easy to use but with a little practice something good you can do .. I fell in love with me ... To you for comments and criticism ..

Excuse me if my English is not perfect.. :(

This is a classic and very beautiful image. Very creative.

Your English may not be perfect (my Italian is non-existent), but your vision is superb.

A stunninging image Matty!, wonderful colours and lightiing!, that dramatic background is equally a winner!.....to be honest the 3 lower leaves look a little unusual?, not out of focus, but more blurred.......anyway this is beautiful as seen, a work of art!

Your English is better than mine LOL, I google Translated what I wrote above........I doubt it can be read so well in Italian? :?

Hello ... thanks for the comments...For the three leaves below are outputs from the shot so, I wanted to have a shot in soft focus effect so I tried not to hold in parallel but I opted for a resumption of the upward pointing the focus on the leaves above the Trioplan brings out detail shots for which the credit goes to him and certainly not the photographer.. Thanks again for your comments and glad it was to your liking ..

Lovely group of leaves and fine composition, interesting soft shadows. The lower leaves almost look like they are underwater.

I think the lens is a real find and it really suits your photography. Enjoy!

Hi

Perhaps a little central for my tastes but certainly a brilliant dreamy feeling look with stunner colours

All the best
Matthew
