Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Flora and Macro Gallery, week ending 26th August, 2011!A Cecropia larva from last year devouring our Peony foliage. Roberta mentioned seeing the caterpillar's feet on my last post, so I thought she might like this one.

5D Mark II, 180 macro, f/11@1/8sec, ISO 400.

Thanks for thinking of me, Steve. I DO love this one - and not just because of the feet, though the turquoise on the prolegs IS exceptionally lovely . Amazingly sharp and such interesting details.
