While not a person, Arizona Highways has photo workshops. They may give you some ideas. I have not checked to see if leaders names are listed.

Thanks Joe!  Had never heard of them but they do have some Arizona tours.  Amazes me how many different photo tour/workshop companies there are.

Hi Ricardo, what kind of photo tour are you looking for - landscape, wildlife, other? Private or group?

Wildlife, private.  Also any recommendation on areas in mid-October?  Thanks for your thoughts EJ.

As a wildlife destination, Arizona is very good for birds but difficult for other types of wildlife.  If it's birds, I may be able to help although December through April are better months:

I have actually found Arizona to be one of the very best states of all for reptiles and amphibians.  But for those species you really need to focus on May thru September, as most of them go into dormancy from October thru March/April.

Thanks Tom!  Unfortunately, our date was fixed since were attending a wedding and then heading out.  We actually just got back and did okay, though am sure other months could be better.  We went with Arizona Birding Tours, if anyone else is looking for a guide.  And if anyone is interested, I posted some photos in a Flickr album:

I checked out that Flickr album - looks like you had a lot of opportunities with some cool species!  I am a bit jealous of the Inca Dove ... despite spending 9 weeks in Arizona the past two years, I still haven't seen one.  They just have such a unique looking plumage!

The Coati is also a great species ..... did you happen to see it in Madera Canyon?

Thanks Tom!  We did see the Coati at Madera Canyon.  We stayed at the Santa Rita Lodge and it was literally in front of our cabin when we got up.
