Yeah, this bird has become a big celebrity over here in New England. I made a 4-hour trip to see the bird - got only a distant look but it was worth it. The most interesting part was seeing and meeting hundreds of birders/photographers flocking to see the bird... reminded me of scenes from the movie "The Big Year".

If this is the same bird as the one that was passing thru the east coast of Canada easrlier in the year, good to know where it has traveled to. Some local birders went to see it. Too far for me. BUT if it was a rare owl, I really would have nade the drive :-)
