OK, first time seeing a fox dining on a snowy owl.  Snowy owls spend a lot of time on the ground and foxes are stealthy hunters.  Now sure how it happened (was snowy owl already dead, injured or was just caught by the fox - I will go with the latter which is highly plausible and the most likely scenario).  Snowy owls do have long sharp talons but a fox can sneak up on it, I would assume.
