I, truly, and not making a pun when I say "cool". Not only are the images fantastic, the creativity in making the equipment is beyond stellar.

Say that this is all great is to say nothing. I have no words to describe the beauty of the images.

Those snowflake images are spectacular!

I wonder how he photographs them. They appear to be completely isolated from anything - as if they are floating in space while he shoots them. But they must actually be ON something, musn't they? So that makes me wonder if we are really seeing the photographs as they were taken, or if he uses editing software to remove the surface that they are on, and to clean up any edges that were in direct contact with those surfaces.

I would really like to see the images exactly as they were right off the sensor, prior to any editing, to get a feel for what surface the snowflakes are laying on when he shoots them, and also to see how extensive the editing is that is necessary to make them look as though they were just floating in open space.
