As with many other places, Bosque del Apache has closed the tour loop and facilities. Most people don’t realize that this is a neat time to see the transition from winter to summer birds, especially hummingbirds, and so the don’t think of visiting now. I like to go at any time of year.

Yes, it's a great time of year. Nesting roadrunners and songbirds. Lizards starting to warm up and come out. Flowers...
