They closed 1/31/2020 and suggested that members switch to Photopia as an alternative. http://photopia.nl/proshow/

Also, check out Canva, Davinci Resolve, Adobe Spark, Google Slides, and Animoto. Also, InVideo is getting a lot of interest lately.

If you already have a video editing program, all of them can make slide shows.

I've used PicturesToExe (now PTE AV) for years. Good program IMO. I thought it fairly pricey until I saw the cost of the Photopia subscription.
I've heard DGFectsAV, Kdenlive and VSDC Free Video editor work well depending on what effects you want.

I also use PTE (Pictures to EXE).  have used it for many years. I don't always get the upgrades - maybe every 2nd or third year.  Current version I am using is 9.0.14.  Only criticism is that that the on line manual isn't comprehensive enough.  I had to search other tutorials to learn the more advanced features.

Another strong ++ for PTE.  I've used it for years.  I generally upgrade, but I sometimes wonder why.  Older versions work great.
