It is inevitable. Since most NPs are overcrowded the safety of the visitors is most important.

In Ontario, all provincial and national parks are closed.  All NCC trailhead parking lots are closed as well (ex. the parking lot where many photographed the great gray owls along the Rockliffe Parkway back in winter 2012-2013 as an example).  However, as far as the NCC trails are concerned, you can still walk but not gather in groups of 5 or greater and everyone is told to keep the physical distance of at least 2 meters or 6 feet.  At least we can go for walks and take photos and there are plenty of owls around :-)

Based on how things are trending, I think this physical distancing is going to be in place for a number of months, certainly into late May or June and maybe even longer depending on the rate of infection in the next several weeks.  But even if the curve is starting to flatten a bit, the social distancing will continue into summer. All I can say is that I'm glad it is spring and the warmer weather is coming.  Thankful to live in a great city with a lot of greenspace.  Keep healthy everyone.
