The public just doesn't seem to care any more about the skill, effort, time, expense etc. that goes into making a great image. Hey, they can snap anything on their phone, apply an app and they are "artists".

Are the social media companies looking to make money off the images? Are they finding it easy to eliminate the expense of the photographer? Are they being greedy? Or trying to change the existence of copyright law to benefit themselves?
Didn't photographers used to have a professional organization called NANPA to protect their rights?

There are several photography associations, but does this really affect many of them?

ASMP-American Society of Media Proffessionals

NPPA-National Press Photographers Association

APA-American Photography Association

And many others can be found with a quick Google search.

Money is always the bottom line, but I feel that all artists are never given the respect for their work and investment like other occupations get!
