Thinking about taking a week to 10 days to head south and do some birding. Would not be driving so am looking for any suggestions on a location (there are many I am sure) but I am not picky. Can fly sometime mid Feb, not sure if many of the AC Vacation locations to resorts have any nearby birding locations to visit. Just mentioned AC as an all inclusive is a good way to travel and save some on meals etc. Thanks for your time.

Over the years, I've had several birding trips to the Caribbean, and my favorite is Cuba, especially the north coast. This is based on a few factors which had made my trips worthwhile & enjoyable - a) the cost is reasonable b) good guides are available, at a very affordable cost, c) lots of endemic species, d) safe to walk around on your own (unlike some of the other islands, I'm sad to say).
