So simple when you know what you’re doing! PP is my weakness and I have to admit, I’m admittedly the worst at it on these forums! Nice work, John. Care to tell us what exactly you did?

Color balance
Highlights: red -29, blue +18
Midtones:  red -39, blue +12
Shadows: red -18

That is all I did to the above image!

If you want to to get it even better....add vibrance +50, saturation -21
Then you could also increase the exposure a bit if you want.
Adjust the above to taste....etc

There are many different ways to acheive similar results....but I am working with the "cooked" jpg, not the RAW....

Any decent raw editor like CaptureOne , ON1Raw, LR, etc. will have a white balance tool. Just click on the bird where it's supposed to be white(not overexposed) and it'll fix the colour.

In Photoshop CC, "Adjustments" :
"selective color",in "red" : cyan +60, magenta -24, yellow -55, black -24.  In  "neutrals" : yellow -3, black -6

I'm sure there are many other possible tweaks in this particular application as John pointed out- this one takes most of the red out- perhaps not what you want...
