The Nikon P1000 is a beast of a camera. My thinking it's a perfect for the birder or casual who doesn't want to bother, buy or cart around a heavy DSLR. It's not a replacement for my D500 and Nikon 500 F4 but it's a ton of fun and the 4k video is awesome. I originally bought it to shoot video although the images below show how with a little care some really decent images can be captured.The files are fine for blogging and the odd print but not for stock images, although I might be proved wrong on that one day.
