If you're an Amazon Prime subscriber you might want to check out Art Wolf's Travels to the Edge series.

Sorry if this has been sent before but I just found it.

Check it out, lots of interesting places.

Cheers

It was a great series but, unfortunately, it is no longer being filmed. He really has a way with animals and has a great eye for both wildlife and landscapes. It was appearing on Create TV and I think it still comes out occasionally.

It comes out this Friday:

Or if you look on Oregon Public broadcasting (OPB who produced it), you can find the episodes.

In Houston TX Art's show is broadcast on KUHT 8.2. (The main channel is 8 or 8.1) To see 8.2 in Houston, you have to be a subscriber to Comcast. 8.2 is not shown on U Verse and other services. Other cities may have similar situations.

One day we may get to see it in Ottawa, Ontario - Canada.  I get WPBS (Watertown New York) and to my knowledge, Travels to the Edge has never been shown on this channel.  Mind you, I've missed many years of Nature on PBS when they switched the show to Wednesday nights (from Sundays).

I pay close to $100 a month on TV Cable and only watch a handful of channels.  Maybe there is a PBS channel hidden in all those channels that I'm not aware of. :)  Time to pare down my channel packages and save some money.

I purchased the dvd collection and have enjoyed watching them. Another good outdoor series is Doug Gardner with his Wild Photo Adventures series that was on DVDs and may still be available for purchase, but I think the content is free on an outdoor web based channel. Check out his website for additional information.
