Flash bracket extenders

I photograph song birds and wildlife with a Nikon d500, 600mm, Sb 5000 flash and better beamer on a Gitzo tripod with Wimberley gimbal head.  I am using an old Kirk flash mount that is mounted closer to the camera body.  I want to raise the flash higher and a little more forward on the lens barrel for better control of the flash.  What flash bracket extender would you recommend?

Here’s a link to an earlier thread on the topic:

If you are using a long QR plate on the lens, mounting the flash bracket to that will move the bracket forward to the extent the plate allows.

If you are using a Wimberley Head then get the Wimberley flash bracket. It mounts on the up-right part of the gimbal so you can rotate your camera/lens set-up to portrait-format without having to fuss with the flash bracket.
