Since it is no longer being supported it's just a matter of time before my trusty BirdTunes app will fail on my iPhone, quite possibly with the upcoming release of iOS 11. Can anyone recommend another decent caller app for birds of eastern North America?

Thanks!

I have iBirds and Sibley's, and Sibley's generally has more variety of calls and tends to have more success with a specific call that works ;)

Pretty well all of the iPhone birding field guide apps have a good set of song files ... none of them expensive. Lots to choose from.

Quite simply this is what you want:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bird-so ... 18764?mt=8

This app is the replacement for BirdTunes

Unless I'm not seeing it, it doesn't have one important feature that BirdTunes has and that is the recents list.  Seems like you have to go through and find a bird again everytime you want to go back to another one.  You can tag 10 but if you forget to do that, you have to go find it again really slowing you down.  But I'm just playing with this for the first time...

One annoying thing about Sibley is you have to type in the bird name each time you want to use it (after closing the app or switching to a different species).  Maybe start a poll:  What are your top 5 bird song apps and give reason why - Pro and Cons.

I have Stokes which I really like.  First app on the iPod Touch.  Can't set it up right on the iPhone so have to play it thru the iMusic app instead of the app made for it.
