A female Red-flanked Bluetail has been sighted for the past weeks at Hell's Gate State Park south of Lewiston, Idaho.  This is believed to be only the second recorded sighting of this Asian species in the lower 48 states.
My wife and I saw it today, Friday the 13th.  Weather was overcast with temps in the teens.

There is also one here on Vancouver Island in the Town of Comox. Has been here since late December and seen by many viewers.

Thanks, Alan, it was exciting, especially when she flew out of a thicket right at us and then landed on my wife's toes.  Wouldn't you know it, I had too much focal length!
