I have just returned from Trekking to Mount Everest base camp, I have a photo Blog going for anybody interested, A fabulous trip which isnt the easiest but one of the most rewarding i have yet done, All images were taken with a Nikon D800e and 24-70 and 18-35 Nikkor lenses, I purchased the 18-35 especially for the trip for its light weight but have grown to love it for its sharpness, Very under rated, Check out the panorama shot from Kala Pattar at 5545m using said lens

I hope the mods do not mind this post, Remove if a problem

Best\

Dave

Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing. I just lost my Dad to cancer. It's such an insidious disease. I applaud your efforts.

Dave, thank you for the post and great effort for a great cause.

I've always wanted to visit the Everest Base Camp - it has enormous appeal to an Indian, beyond just being an adventure. However, the closest I've come to it is viewing Mt. Everest from a plane. Sadly health and other restrictions preclude this kind of trek for me.

Thanks for sharing.
