I mentioned here over a year ago that i had 3 brothers with cancer and that i intended to walk the Camino De Santiago in Spain to raise funds for Cancer Research, Well the time has come and i leave the States on Monday and make my way to France where i will start the 500+ mile walk starting at the base of the French Pyrenees, One thing has changed in that my 4th Brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor a couple of months ago and has now had it removed, He now has the long road of rehab and needs to learn to walk and talk again, I have a Fujifilm XM1 to take with me which is a good compromise between weight and IQ, I purchased a Capture Pro camera clip so that it is connected to my backpack and in easy reach at all times, I have reviewed it here http://davescamino.blogspot.com/2014/02 ... -clip.html, After using it for a while (i did pay for it) i contacted Peak Design and told them to my fund raising, they kindly have given me a code (In the review) that will allow a small discount, But the main reason for using the code is that a few dollars from each sale using that code will go to my charity, I hope the mods do not mind me posting this here, Its not intended as an advert more of a review with benefits (if its a problem then please remove) You can follow my footsteps across Spain here http://davescamino.blogspot.com/ and if you want to know about the charity or donate please go here www.walkingforacure.org

Thanks in advance and will be back in June

I wish you well on your journey, Dave! Thanks, also, for the reminder that life is short and we do well to use our time wisely.

That pilgrimage walk on the Camino de Santiago looked like an amazing journey in the movie "The Way" starring Martin Sheen. Beautiful scenery and a powerful process. And no doubt some amazing images to follow. May it bring you much healing and peace Dave.

Way Camino Dave!

Dave, best of wishes for your journey. I have several friends who've been touched by cancer recently so this strikes a chord with me. Travel safely and will see you when you get back. Cindy.

Dave, the very best of wishes for your journey. Like Cindy, this strikes a very close chord to me. (twin brother, younger sister, mother and father now gone). I can only wish you my heart felt prayers and trust and hope that your journey brings many beautiful things as well as healing and peace as Robert, so kindly mentioned. We will be all praying for you and your loved ones.

I think just about everyone knows someone who has been affected by the disease. Wish you all the best in your journey.

I have been following Dave on his Blog http://davescamino.blogspot.com/ and it is a very interesting journey and some great images from his travels.

I encourage others to read on as he treks across this great adventure.

If you not seen the movie he talks about occasionally it also is a great story and insight of this Camino De Santiago trek so many have followed.

Trek onward Dave.  :)

I've just finished reading Dave's Camino Blog. What a fantastic experience he's having and taking such a fantastic succession of great pictures. If you haven't been reading it then you're missing out.
