This gimbal head adapter mounts to your Wimberley Head WH-101 or WH-200 clamp and attaches to your camera plate, allowing you to shoot with your camera mounted to the Wimberley Head instead of the lens. The perfect solution for hiking photographers focusing on wildlife photography who might take the occasional scenic and wish to leave the ballhead behind. Weighing in at less than 5oz., this bi-directional adapter plate is great to have - just in case.

Note that movement is limited: horizontally, you can pan and swing the camera up and down. Side to side movement is limited to your leveling base and/or adjustment of tripod legs.

To set up vertically, remove the camera from the horizontal setup and turn so the lens is pointed over the top Wimberley Head knob. There's limited movement - panning is possible, some side to side movement is possible, but up and down is limited to your leveling base and/or adjustment of tripod legs.

The manufacturer highly recommends the use of an L-bracket on the camera body for an easier transition between horizontal and vertical.
