This set of rings replaces a set of Kenko rings for NIKON I purchased several years ago. The Kenko rings were OK when used one at a time but they were not tight enough to use in combination without getting error messages due to the electronics not communicating between the lens, tubes and body. I wish NIKON would make a quality automatic ring set like Canon does that would provide the electronic contacts to not loose functionality of the lens when extended. While the Phottix rings are advertised as metal, they are not all metal construction. They do fit together better than the Kinko rings and I have heard from friends that the newer Kenko rings are improved over my older set. I can say the internal light baffling is improved on the Phottix and I like the lens release tabs better than the Kenko design.

Subsribe to our newsletter Testimonials I appreciate the added benefit of the buySafe Guarantee. Confident in the knowledge that I will suffer no loss in whatever case. This is especially comforting since I purchased a Gura Gear Kiboko Backpack the King of all backpacks. But I do thank you providing this protection to me at no additional expense. NatureScapes is the only online store I shop with that does offer this welcome guarantee.
A very satisfied customer!

I'm a real stickler for customer service. Good service is pretty rare these days, yet Naturescapes has gone far beyond what I would call good service - it has been amazing. It is such a pleasure to deal with honest people who care if the customer is happy. Please keep up the excellent work!! Many thanks!!

I do like the LensCoat Hoodie covers and Lens coats. They are great for protecting my lenses. My latest purchase was a Hoodie cover for Canon's 70 - 200 f2.8 lens. When the lens hood is attached, it is difficult to reach into the lens hood and take off the lens cap. With the hoodie, I can forget about the lens cap. The only drawback to the hoodie is that when I turn the lens hood around on the lens for putting it in my camera bag, the hoodie wants to slide off the lens hood. This is due to the bevel that is on the lens hood. I am thinking that a little piece of velcro on the lens hood and hoodie will take care of this minor problem.
Advantages: I don't have to fumble with taking off the lens hood to take the lens cap off anymore. I just use the hoodie to cover the glass. Disadvantages: When the lens hood is reversed ont eh lens, the hoodie wants to slide off the hood due to the bevel on the hood.

The LensCoat Hoodie Cover is very simple and does the job it was made to do which is to cover and protect your lens glass.
Advantages: It is small (compared to the cover supplied with a Canon 600mm) and easy to store when not in use. It can be folded up and slipped into a large pocket for storage. Disadvantages: When used with a LensCoat Cover on the lens hood, the cover tends to roll back as the Hoodie Cover is pulled on and it takes a little dexterity to get the Hoodie Cover onto a large lens like the Canon 600mm. Still, overall, it is more convenient than the standard Canon cover.
