This is my second purchase for these batteries and they soft charge quickly and hold their charge for a long time. I have been using them now for the last 3 years with a Canon 580 II Flash Unit and a secondary power pack with no issues.

Advantages: I cannot determine just how many flashes I may get from the flash unit and power pack above but they do last for at least 200 plus flashes and more likely may 250.

It's one of the best battery out there for flash. I've used them with my 580EXII for years. The first pack I've bought back in 2007 is still working good. My flash retain pretty fast refresh rate even after 200 shots. The only thing I don't really like about this battery is they don't retain the charges very well. After a week or so of shelf life, the fully charge battery is half depleted. So make sure you re-charge your batteries before every shoot.

Advantages: A lot of power, long last, fast refresh rate for flashes.

Disadvantages: Short shelf life.
