The PHOTTIX® TR-90 is a Multi-function Remote Switch with Digital Timer Control (Intervalometer Remote).

The Multi-Function remote provides a simple trigger function and can activate the bulb function on Canon/Nikon SLR cameras. It provides such functions as a self-timer, interval timer, long-exposure timer, exposure count setting feature. It is a perfect replacement for the Canon TC-80N3 and the Nikon MC-36.

A good buy with great value for the price. The build quality is decent, with a lot of useful features! I actually bought this because I was tired of having to ensure that I had a watch available whenever I thought I would need to do bulb exposures.

Advantages: - Backlight present for viewing in low light
- Lock available to avoid accidental operation
- Thoughtful inclusion of a usual remote switch without any battery required (in case you run out)
- Uses AAA batteries which are easily available
- Good build and quality
- Relatively low price

Disadvantages: - No option to turn the display off to conserve battery
- A tad large-sized, if it was half the size it would be better!

I wanted a timer remote for night photography. I suspect the Canon remote may be better made but I think the Phottix unit work OK for me.

Advantages: Price compared to Canon's equivalent.

Disadvantages: No power switch.
the plug does not seem secure when attached to the camera.
